EnglishPro
EnglishPro offers an app and responsive website design connecting parents in Logroño, Spain, with English tutors. Designed to address the difficulty many parents face each year in finding tutors. This project exemplifies my commitment to user-centric solutions through UX and UI design.
Final Draft
For EnglishPro, I followed a human-centered UX/UI design process grounded in the Design Thinking framework, moving through five key phases:
Empathize – I interviewed parents in Logroño to understand their goals, frustrations, and habits when searching for English tutors. I created empathy maps and personas to guide design decisions from a user-first perspective.
Define – I distilled user insights into problem statements and hypothesis statements to clearly articulate the needs of different parent types, from tech-savvy to tech-anxious. Each problem was reframed as an opportunity for improvement.
Ideate – I conducted competitive research, a “How Might We” exercise, and rapid sketching to brainstorm potential solutions. These ideas focused on ease of use, building trust, and improving tutor discovery and booking.
Prototype – I translated sketches into low- and mid-fidelity wireframes, designing a responsive interface for both web and mobile. I focused on intuitive flows for onboarding, tutor browsing, booking, and progress tracking.
Test – I validated early designs with feedback from users similar to my target personas, iterating on the interface to improve clarity, reduce friction, and align with real-world needs.
This process ensured that EnglishPro remained focused on its core users — parents — while meeting the platform’s business goals of trust, transparency, and ease of use.
